TV Mounting Around Tight Spaces: A Case Study

Not every TV mounting job has a clean, open wall to work with. On this recent job, our client wanted their TV mounted just below an existing wall-mounted AC unit — a setup that required careful planning to keep both the TV and the AC unit fully functional and safely spaced apart.

We used a full-motion swivel mount, which let us position the TV close enough to the AC unit without blocking airflow or access, while still giving the homeowner the ability to swivel and tilt the screen for the best viewing angle from any seat in the room.

Finding solid stud placement was key here, since the mount needed to support the TV's full weight without relying on the surrounding drywall alone. Once secured, we routed the cables neatly down to the media stand below and set up the TV's smart features, including account log-in and streaming apps.

The result is a clean, functional entertainment setup that works around the room's existing layout instead of against it.
