Fireplace TV installs are one of the trickier jobs in home services — not because the mount itself is complicated, but because everything around it demands precision. Studs are often irregular near a mantel, cable runs need to stay hidden, and there's zero room for a second attempt once holes are drilled.
For this job, our technician started by mapping out the entire layout with painter's tape directly on the wall — marking where the mount would sit, where the cable channel would run, and where the outlet box would be installed below the mantel. This step alone prevents most of the common mistakes in fireplace installs: crooked brackets, exposed wiring, or a TV that ends up slightly off-center from the mantel.
Once the layout was confirmed, the mounting bracket went up first, followed by careful cable routing behind the wall. The TV — a Samsung Frame model — was then lifted into place, leveled, and powered on for setup.
The result: a clean, professional install with no visible cables and a TV perfectly centered above the fireplace.
