The KALLAX is one of the most common pieces we get called for, and the 5x5 version with inserts is the one people tend to give up on halfway through. Here's what that job actually looks like.
Two techs, working together. One runs the frame, the other preps the door and drawer inserts so nothing sits idle. The frame goes together flat on the ground, squared before anything gets tightened down โ if it racks even slightly, every door below will sit crooked and no amount of adjusting fixes it later.
Then the inserts. Each drawer has runners that need to seat properly, and each door needs its hinge set so the gaps stay even across the whole row. That's the difference between a shelf that looks built and one that looks thrown together.
Last step is standing it up. At this size that's a two-person lift, not a solo move.
One piece or a houseful, we handle it.
